Aluminium facade systems are engineered building envelopes made from aluminium framing, glass, and metal panels. They protect buildings from weather, manage wind loads, and help control heat and light. In Saudi Arabia, these systems must withstand extreme temperatures, sandstorms, coastal conditions, and comply with applicable Saudi Building Code requirements. Thermal Performance Specs We Engineer To
Every building facade system for a Saudi project is calculated for:
- U-value: heat transfer through frame and glass (W/m²K)
- SHGC: the share of solar heat that passes through the glazing
- Wind load: tested to ASTM E330 on our in-house test rig
- Air and water tightness: tested to ASTM E283 and ASTM E331
Types of Aluminium Facades
Curtain Wall Systems
A curtain wall is a frame of vertical mullions and horizontal transoms that holds glass or panels. We manufacture three variants. Unitized systems are factory-assembled for high-rise speed. Stick-built systems are assembled on site for complex geometry. Structural silicone glazing gives a frameless look.
ACP Cladding and Rainscreen Facades
Our ACP cladding uses an FR-A2 non-combustible core that meets Saudi Civil Defense requirements. We also make 3–5 mm solid aluminium and perforated panels. Each panel can be installed as a ventilated rainscreen, which lets the facade shed heat and moisture.
Aluminium Glazing Systems: Windows and Doors
Thermal break frames use polyamide strips to separate the inside and outside of the profile. This cuts heat transfer through the frame.
Louvers, Skylights and Fire-Rated Glazing
Aerofoil louvers lower solar gain on exposed elevations. Our skylights and canopies bring daylight into atriums and entrances. Fire-rated glazing is certified EI30 to EI120.
